Dear all,
Greetings to all in the precious name of Christ.
How are you and how are things going with you? It has been quite a while since I last wrote a newsletter.
Some of you may be wondering what we’ve been up to. The complex political situation, unstable internet access, the currently severe power outages, and the recent 7.7-magnitude earthquake in central Myanmar—among other things—have left us with so much to deal with.
One of the most challenging issues we’re facing is the increasingly limited electricity supply. Combined with Myanmar’s intense heat, the lack of reliable power makes daily life extremely difficult. We’ve had to purchase battery-operated fans. During blackouts, we try to endure as best we can, and whenever power returns, we immediately recharge all our lamps and power stations. Lately, we’re only getting about 8 hours of electricity per 24-hour period – and even those 8 hours often come with unexpected outages. But this isn’t a complaint about our situation – God has already given us the resilience to handle it. After all, we’re people who grew up accustomed to life without electricity.”
In God’s amazing love, I, along with each member of my family, am living each day in good health and strength. Yet even in such seemingly hopeless circumstances, we continue to witness the greatness of God’s grace and mercy. Despite the constant changes and the near-total lack of stability, God is still at work, revealing His glory in ways that are truly inspiring. His power is evident in every situation, shining through even in the midst of the terrible conditions we are facing. No matter how difficult things may be nothing can truly separate us from the love of God. In the midst of instability, God grants me peace, purpose, and endurance. What amazes me even more is that He has given us greater opportunities to expand His ministry and serve with even more effectiveness. What more could we hope for?
